1915 Rules for Teachers

This past Saturday, we visited Amador City, a short drive from Sacramento. This town is the home of Andrae's Bakery. They have some of the best cookies and sandwiches in all of Gold Country! While we were there, we decided to tour the city (very quaint and historic). We checked out this awesome museum and inside found out about the town's history and more about Amador County.

There were lots of interesting finds inside the musuem, but this poster was my favorite.

It made me wonder if teachers had similar rules (maybe not as strict) and if students were under their guidance, our public education system might not be in the dire straights it's in today. Have we done a disservice to our State's youth by lowering standards and not having high enough expectations of them?

What are your thoughts? What ways might you suggest we change our schools?
