I love food. It is something I think about (unfortunately) many times a day. I also love cooking, especially when the eaters like what I've made and are enthusiastic about it as well! Anthony loves pizza, not any type of pizza though, he is a pepperoni, no tomatoes kind of guy. Sometimes, he will branch out and eat BBQ Chicken Pizza. In a continuing effort to make more food, know what exactly goes into it, and save money, I began making homemade pizza. This is actually not as hard as you may think, particularly if you buy pre-made dough. I would like to make my own dough, but for now, I'l save the homemade dough for Cinnamon Rolls!
- Pizza Dough
- BBQ Sauce
- Chicken, cooked & shredded
- Red onion or shallots, very thinly sliced
- Asparagus spears
- Cheese (I used Reduced fat Havarti and Mexican Blend from Trader Joe's)
- Dried Oregano
- Salt & Pepper
Follow instructions on the pizza dough package. Assemble all other ingredients in the order listed. Bake for the time listed on the dough package, for any homemade dough, I think you should probably bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
